01 Brief

Marenére Fest

We were BORN FROM THE SEA, the sea that has raised and shaped the daughters and sons of the Capitanata for generations, never asking for anything in return.

More and more often, though, we forget what it means to LIVE FOR THE SEA: to tell its story, to respect it, to protect it, to love it.

From this, Marenére Fest is born: an event open to the whole community that, through musical performances, art installations, and activities for learning and awareness, seeks to restore dignity to our origins, celebrating the history of the sea and its traditions.

03 Process

We built giant wooden modules inspired by the old Trabucchi fishing structures. With the magic knot masters, the local scouts (grazie), we raised towers up to 5 m high, wrapped in old fishing nets.

These became stages for music, art, and design. A living tribute to the bond between people and the sea.

Then the site: the empty courtyard inside the castle walls, measured and walked before anything was cut.

Then the site turns into a festival: stage, rig, sound, and the nets going up over all of it.
